If you use Way4 REST APIs, you have received more flexibility and autonomy in expanding the data sets accessible through those APIs. For example, customers may want to check their status in a loyalty program that you manage on Way4. Now you can provide this information via web and mobile interfaces without hard coding or involving OpenWay team, by simple parameter mapping. This feature accelerates your launch of API-based services that are personalized, informative, and versatile in functionality for end-users – customers, partners, and staff.

As part of the standard Way4 REST API specification, we’ve provided instructions for creating a custom data handbook. Your team can map custom parameters to Way4 system objects. In our earlier example, your new input parameter “loyalty_membership” can point to the corresponding contract parameter in Way4. After such mapping, the API’s GET and POST methods will leverage your handbook to pass custom data from Way4 to the external system and vice versa.

This flexibility of Way APIs is provided as an enhancement that does not require a license. It is available for issuers, acquirers, wallet operators, processors, and all other payment players working with Way4 APIs
