Now acquirers who offer multi-currency pricing (MCP) on Way4 can define merchant settlement currency and currency conversion markups for a specific merchant depending on a combination of multiple parameters such as transaction currency, payment scheme and other transaction parameters. The markup can depend on merchant settlement currency or be defined independently.

For example, a merchant who receives settlement in USD can be charged a higher markup for transactions made in CNH, while for transactions in EUR and RUB a more favorable rate may apply. The conversion rate for Visa transactions may be set lower than for those of Mastercard.

Flexible markup setup in multi-currency pricing helps acquirers to offer highly personalized pricing for each merchant and simplifies the markup setup for MCP transactions in Way4.

This enhancement is based on multi-dimensional transaction classification, which allows acquirers to differentiate merchant fees using multiple transaction parameters.
