Now Way4 can save time for shoppers who make frequent payments in different locations or online stores served by the same merchant aggregator. A payment token created by Way4 for just one store or location is accepted across a larger retail network. This works for specific mPOS, e-commerce and m-commerce transactions that are classified as card-on-file tokenization.

For example, when a driver pays for the first time at a gas station belonging to an aggregator network, Way4 can create a token for the card used for the payment. The driver can make fast tokenized payments at all gas stations whose acquirer is the same merchant aggregator.

To enable this feature, Way4 can assign a unique code to all mPOS devices and e-commerce/m-commerce payment interfaces that are managed by the same aggregator. All card tokens created via these devices or interfaces will be marked with the same code. This pool of tokens will be accepted across the entire network of that aggregator.

During a tokenized transaction, Way4 will check if the token and the device or interface share the same aggregator code. If they don’t, the transaction will be declined.
