Now Way4 can extend the time when a card’s authentication data is valid, so it can be used repeatedly for each iteration in a multi-step transaction. Cardholders can save time as they won’t have to enter their security details again and again.

The most common use case for this functionality would be recurring payments. In the transaction chain, only the first payment would go through a standard authentication check such as 3DS protocol. The check results will be applied automatically to all subsequent transactions. This makes the retail experience more seamless and convenient for all parties involved.

The issuer can configure a rule in Way4 to indicate which transactions are eligible for using pre-stored authentication details. In particular, the validity timeframe can be defined.
