Web Service for Management of Volume-Based Tariffs

Upon request from external systems, Way4 can change personalized volume-based tariffs. This type of tariff allows you to charge customers based on the volume of provided services. Whether the volume parameter is monetary or quantitative, it can be split in ranges, each with its own tariff rate.

A document amount, balance, or amount of turnover for a specific balance type are examples of monetary volume. A number of transactions in a period, or number of documents with a certain tag are the examples of quantitative volume.

The new web service allows tariffs to be changed in Way4 in the following way:

• Configure and activate new tariff rules such as new ranges of volume, new currency of calculation, new rate for each range, and so on

• Cancel a forthcoming change of tariff that has been scheduled for a future date

• Disable an existing tariff entirely

This new API is useful for companies who analyze and manage their tariffs in a third-party system and need to apply changes to some tariffs quickly in Way4. Before introduction of this API, users could only change tariffs directly through Way4 screens.
