Mastercard Message Extension Feature for EMV 3DS v.2.1 and Higher

Now Way4 meets Mastercard’s specific requirements for EMV 3DS protocol, version 2.1 and higher. These requirements are called Mastercard Message Extension. This update is mandatory for issuers and acquirers in European Economic Area, in order to achieve PSD2-compliance and perform Strong Customer Authentication correctly.

As required by Mastercard, we have extended the set of 3DS data fields that Way4 operates. The extended data can be included in the messages exchanged between e-commerce MPI and ACS modules. Acquirer SCA Exemption, Merchant Fraud Rate and Whitelist Status are among the new data fields.
