Refund Workflow Management in Way4 Merchant Wallet

Now store managers can save time on refund processing by granting selected cashiers the right to issue refunds instantly. For other staff, the refund capabilities can be limited or denied, requiring the manager’s approval. Way4 supports the following three workflows:

  •  Cashiers perform instant refunds using the Way4 Merchant Wallet app via a refund button for a certain purchase in the transaction history. The funds are returned to the consumer account immediately.

  • Cashiers pre-select transactions for refund and request approval from the manager via wallet app. The manager uses Way4 Merchant Portal to review pending requests in a special tab or the transaction history. Upon approval, the system completes the refund immediately. 

  • Cashiers have no refund options in their wallet app. Only the store manager can initiate refunds using the Way4 Merchant Portal. 

A single screen is used by the manager to check pending refunds and their transaction details, and to accept or decline each one.
