Now, users of digital wallets built on Way4 Wallet can obtain gift codes and redeem them towards a service/product in an affiliated shop or give them to another person as a gift voucher. This option will stimulate sales and increase customer loyalty. A wallet operator can promote this functionality to merchants as a value-added service on top of its regular wallet acceptance functionality.

The codes are purchased through the wallet, then applied to e-commerce or in-store payments. Checkout codes are attractive for many reasons. They benefit merchants who don't accept cards or or whose POS service frequently goes down, which is sometimes the case in remote rural locations. Paying with codes also gives buyers extra protection against card data theft.

Under the “Online cards” menu, the wallet user can choose the preferred merchant and gift amount, then confirm the payment. Details of the purchase and voucher code information will be instantly displayed. If the transaction fails, the user receives a notification. All purchased codes that are still valid for use remain accessible in the transaction history.

For each merchant or service provider, the wallet operator can pre-configure up to 9 gift amounts.

Consumers can see the gift codes or vouchers available to them and select voucher amounts in Way4 Consumer Wallet
