Now Way4 can deliver ATM receipts via e-mail, SMS or push notification channels. A cardholder can choose an e-receipt instead of a printed one, or request both. This choice can be offered on selected terminals or across the entire ATM network.
The e-receipt option is particularly helpful when the ATM printer is out of service for some reason. Also, e-receipts are attractive for customers who prefer eco-friendly banking and care about reducing paper waste.
When users ask for e-receipts, the ATM will prompt them to provide an e-mail address or phone number. For on-us transactions, Way4 can pull data from the issuing database first, and the cardholder can proceed with the existing contact details or input an alternative. For security, e-receipts do not contain sensitive information such as unmasked PAN or card expiry date.
This new functionality can be used beyond ATM operations. For example, if an acquirer processes a recurring payment for an online store, Way4 can automatically send the e-receipt to the e-commerce merchant or the customer.
