Now Way4 supports an entirely digital acceptance and distribution of tip payments. Acquirers can transfer cashless tips directly to the employee’s card account. This helps merchants to exclude tips from their taxable revenue. The tipping service is seamlessly integrated into a standard card payment process.

An employee needs to register his or her card at the assigned POS terminal, before the work shift begins or a customer wants to pay the bill. The customer simply enters a tip amount on POS and completes the transaction as usual. Way4 directs all tip payments to dedicated internal accounts. At the end of the daily shift the accumulated tips are transferred to the employee’s card. The acquirer can set up a fee to be deducted from the transferred amount.

Customers do not need to install any additional apps and are not charged for this card-to-card tip transfer.

This solution works with cards of any international payment scheme. If such a transaction involves dynamic currency conversion, Way4 sends an authorization request to the issuer in the customer’s selected currency and transfers the tip amount to the worker’s card in the local currency.

The solution can be used by all service sector employees, whether waiters, couriers, barbers, beauticians, taxi drivers, or others.

You can read more about the solution and request the brochure on our website.
