Refunds for C2B Transactions within an Instant Payment System

We have enhanced Way4’s interface to a national end-to-end instant payment system in Eastern Europe. Now our interface can process not only account-to-account money transfers, but also refunds for C2B transactions made on the POS terminals or via APIs to the cash registers. Way4 can transfer the money from a merchant to any bank and account of the consumer’s choice, as long as the bank is a member of this instant payment system.

The transaction amount can be returned to the consumer in part, or in full, or as a sequence of partial refunds whose combined value does not exceed the initial amount.
