Way4’s new functionality helps acquirers process card-on-file payments without interruption and reduces time spent manually updating card credentials. It benefits acquirers and merchants who work with digital subscriptions, utility payments, recurring grocery deliveries, and other types of merchant-initiated transactions.
Merchants rely on their acquirers to enroll them in Visa Account Updater (VAU) and Mastercard Automatic Billing Updater (MABU). These programs track cards with changed or expired credentials and pass updated values to merchants. With the new user-friendly screens in Way4, acquirers can conveniently access a single, centralized list of all participating merchants. Checking a merchant’s program status, whether approved, rejected, or pending, is quick and easy. Individual merchant profiles also display the enrollment status for quick reference.
Way4 supports encryption and decryption of sensitive card data at every stage of VAU and MABU batch file processing. It provides an added layer of security for all parties involved—consumers, merchants, and acquirers.
