Implementation of the AmEx SafeKey technology on OpenWay’s Way4 platform is an innovation that will allow for free use of American Express cards in Way4-based e- and mobile commerce systems and e-wallets.

For instance, joint issuing and acquiring products have been implemented in Kazkommertsbank in Kazakhstan, Luottokunta (Nets) processing company in Northern Europe, and Equity Bank in Kenya. OpenWay and AmEx’s plans for the nearest future include projects related to contactless payments using the AmEx expresspay technology and Customer Reward loyalty programme support,” comments Alain Vansnick, OpenWay’s business development director, EMEA.

Way4 solutions are certified by MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, Diners Club, JCB, CUP. OpenWay supports Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, AmEx SafeKey solutions based on 3-D Secure protocol.
