Way4 REST API: transaction history, reversals, and adjustments

Written by Admin | November 8, 2024

Now, our clients can access transaction statements and perform back-office operations through a new business-oriented Way4 REST API. Large reports are automatically paginated for easier navigation. Additionally, requests can be directed not only to the processing system but also to other Way4 databases, such as column-oriented databases. This reduces system load and makes the platform more efficient and user-friendly for our clients.

Here’s a closer look at the key features:

  • Transaction visualization: the REST API allows users to view all client transactions across their payment instruments, such as cards or accounts. For instance, a banking or mobile app can display a client’s card transactions over the past two days in chronological order or generate a statement for a specific card. Detailed data for each transaction is also available, including authorization methods, any errors encountered, and whether a QR code was generated.
  • Pagination for reports: to handle large transaction histories, the system supports paginated responses. This allows users to browse extensive transaction data page by page without overloading the interface or making additional system calls.
  • Operational flexibility: the platform supports a wide range of operations, like charging fees, initiating reversals, and making adjustments to completed transactions.

This API can be seamlessly integrated with other APIs such as the WS API or UFX for card and contract onboarding.
