UCS (Global Payments) and OpenWay Expand Partnership with JCB
United Card Service, a leading independent processing company in Eastern Europe and part of Global Payments, and OpenWay, a recognized leader in software solutions for bank card issuing and acquiring, payment processing, remote banking service and financial transaction routing expanded their partnership with JCB, Japan's leading international payment system. Within the project, the direct JCB interface was launched on OpenWay’s WAY4 processing platform at United Card Service.

When increasing its presence in a region, JCB chooses leaders in acquiring to ensure deep penetration of the market. The Eastern Europe market is a priority, with the stream of tourists from Asia increasing every year: the number of tourists from Japan to Europe increased by 17,6% since 2008.
The partnership between JCB and OpenWay has deep roots. OpenWay clients using interfaces to JCB include Borgun, a leading Icelandic e-commerce acquirer, Bank of Valletta, Malta's leading financial organization, Equity Bank, the largest bank in Kenya and UNICRE, a consortium of 28 Portuguese banks. Today one more market leader has expanded partnership with JCB, this time in Russia.
